Naval Air Station Oceana will broadcast its annual air show, Sept. 19 from noon to 4 p.m., featuring performances by a variety of military aircraft including the Navy’s F/A-18 Super Hornet Rhino Demonstration Team and the Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team


The decision to broadcast the air show, instead of inviting the public on the base to view, allows Hampton Roads residents to see naval aviation up close in a safe environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. MORE:

The base will remain open for routine daily access. However, the flight line will be restricted to authorized personnel only. In order to comply with physical distancing guidelines and to avoid large gatherings, designated viewing areas will not be available. The show was produced for an online audience.
