Johnny Cash called John McCutcheon, "The most impressive instrumentalist I've ever heard." You’ll get to hear him, along with Chicago Mike Beck and hosts Paul Reisler and Cheryl Toth on Sunday, January 10th at 7pm (EST) Kid Pan Alley’s Because We Have Music free livestream concert series.

“Calling John McCutcheon a ‘folksinger’ is like saying Deion Sanders is just a football player,” said the Dallas Morning News. He’s a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, social activist, and such a great storyteller that the Washington Post said, “His storytelling has the richness of fine literature.”  His thirty recordings have garnered every imaginable honor including seven Grammy nominations.

Possessed of a powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, Mike Beck’s performances include forays into rock, soul, blues and country, including compelling originals, classic rock favorites, stirring soul standards and a boatload of guilty pleasures from his diverse repertoire of over 500 songs.

According to the Greenville (SC) News, “Paul Reisler is certainly a leader among those who blend the categories, who redefine eclectic or take eclectic to new and wonderful territories.”  He’s written over 3,000 songs and instrumental compositions as well as two musicals and co-wrote a full-length piece for orchestra and narrator. He’ll be joined by vocalist Cheryl Toth.

It’s sure to be an evening of great stories and music with a lot of something for most everyone. You can sign up for the limited seating in the intimate zoom room (bring you own chair) to be part of the conversation at It is also simulcast on Facebook and YouTube, but it is way more fun to be up close and personal in the “living room.”
