INGREDIENTS
For the dough:
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 6 tablespoons room temperature unsalted butter, very soft
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup room temperature unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt (or slightly less table salt)
For the frosting:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened at room temperature
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 to 4 tablespoons milk, whole or 2%
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of kosher salt
