UPDATE (10/2):

Several sources speculated that Steven Tyler had canceled several shows following a potential seizure, but Tyler has released a statement denying those reports. In the below message on Twitter, the Aerosmith front man explained that he simply needed a procedure that only his stateside doctor could perform.

Aerosmith has been forced to cancel their remaining tour dates overseas as their frontman, Steven Tyler, has returned to the United States for immediate medical treatment.

The band says that Tyler is seeking treatment is for a non-life-threatning issue.

Steven posted on his Twitter account that he was seeking "immediate care" due to "unexpected medical issues." His doctors advised that he doesn't travel. As a result, the band's upcoming four shows in South America (Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico) were canceled.

Steven is expected to make a full recovery with "proper treatment and rest," according to the band's statement.

Tyler vowed to return to the stage "soon."

Here's to a speedy recovery!
