30 Years in the Making, Bananarama Announce First North American Tour as Original Trio

October 10, 2017

It’s been thirty years of a “cruel, cruel summer,” but Bananarama are FINALLY back! Yes, the original trio are reuniting for a North American tour early in 2018.

The original lineup (Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward, and Siobhan Fahey) just announced their FIRST North American tour.

Wait, the group that gave us hits like "Cruel Summer" and "Venus" have never toured in North America?

Siobhan Fahey amicably split from the group in 1988. Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward carried on as Bananarama and toured the globe as pair, but they never actually got to go on a tour as a trio.

So, yes, the "best-selling girl group of all time" has NEVER actually played a tour date in North America as a trio. The tour will stop in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, and New York between February 20 and February 24 next year. More information on ticketing can be found here.

"America, you've been waiting for this one! It took a little while, but we're finally coming to North America as a trio, and we're so excited to give you an unforgettable show,” the band said in a statement. “Thanks for your patience. It's going to be worth it!"

The trio has already sold out a series of tour dates across the UK that they will be embarking on this fall.
