The recent mass shootings in Dayton, El Paso and have Gilroy, CA have prompted Lady Gaga to take action. The singer is combating the violence with the gift of knowledge.

Gaga announced on Facebook that she is partnering with DonorsChoose and her own Born This Way Foundation to fund classroom projects in the three cities.

The “Million Reasons” singer says 14 classrooms in Dayton, 125 classrooms in El Paso and 23 classrooms in Gilroy will now have access to the support they need to work together and bring their dreams to life.

“My heart goes out to those who were taken from us too soon and to their families, loved ones, and communities who are left to grieve,” Gaga wrote. “In this moment, I want to channel my confusion, frustration, and fury into hope. Hope that we are there for each other and for ourselves.”

It’s not clear how much of Gaga’s own money will go to the projects, but she and her charitable endeavors have done a priceless amount of good already. Born This Way was started in 2012 with the goal of “creating a kinder and braver world.” According to its mission, the foundation works with young people to build kinder communities and improve mental health resources.
